I found a Wikipedia article that is even more inaccurate than the one I discussed earlier about Esteban.
The article for Andrés Dorantes de Carranza, who was the owner of Esteban, is filled with historical errors.
Among the egregious errors were statements that the Narváez expedition suffered several hurricanes AFTER they reached Florida; that three of the five handbuilt boats the expedition survivors used to escape from Florida ended up sinking in the Gulf of Mexico; that the last 15 survivors set out across the continent; that they were enslaved by "several" tribes they met on their way; that they crossed the Colorado River; and that they traveled through New Mexico in their escape.
None of those statements is true! Who writes these Wikipedia entries?
